I am so excited to announce that the recording of my new full length album is finished and it's now being mixed by Dirty Radio's Anthony Dolhai. I can't wait to share my masterpiece with you. Matthew Rogers (of Harpoonist and the Axe Murderer) and I co-produced "When You Wake Up". it's been a long and all-consuming journey that has spanned two years.
West Coast artist T. Nile launches her new single "Running." The banjo-playing electro-folk trail blazer has been hard at work developing and experimenting with electro beats, integrating acoustic and electronic elements into a fresh mix of songs. This single is available as a free download with an option to PWYC. All proceeds from the new single will be donated to The Restorative Learning Centre on Galiano Island. Run by the Galiano Conservancy Association (a registered charitable organization), the centre gives inner-city youth the opportunity to spend time on the island engaging in creative mentorship education programs whilst being surrounded by nature.

T. Nile whispered a greeting late last night about the new song and why the fundraising project is close to her heart:
After her first EFMF appearance in 2007, T. Nile is enthused to be back at the Edmonton Folk Musical Festival this year: “There is something about the culture here…people are very openhearted, unpretentious, quick to offer help, quick to laugh, appreciative, and attentive to music… it doesn’t get any better than this,” she continues, “there are lots of great festivals but this one is really up there.”
